"The Neat and Pretty Girl at My New School, a Childhood Friend I Played with, Thinking She Was a Boy" is a romantic comedy about the awkwardness of growing up and how the past suddenly comes back at the worst possible time. The series is built on funny situations, jealousy, attempts to save face and warm scenes where the characters learn to be honest again. Behind the humor lies an important theme, how people's perceptions change as they grow up, and how difficult it is to accept that your childhood best friend can become your strongest feeling. This is a light story about friendship, first love and the courage to accept that the past does not interfere with the future if you are willing to look straight.
